The day planner
that follows the sun

Ghorubi splits your day into 12 sun hours and your night into 12 more, measured from your own sunrise and sunset. Plan tasks and habits, track your streaks and keep your prayers in view.

The clock gives every hour sixty minutes.
The sun doesn't.

Ghorubi helps you stop chasing the clock
and start following the light

How does it work?

No time zones to configure and no schedule to build from scratch. Ghorubi reads where you are, works out today's sunrise and sunset, and turns them into hours you can plan with.

Find your sun. Share your location once. Ghorubi works out your sunrise and sunset and splits the day into sun hours.

See your day. Your day as a timeline, from first light to deep night.

Plan by the hour. Pick a sun hour like Darkness or Deep Night instead of a time on the clock.

An old way of telling time

Hours that stretch and shrink with the seasons kept time for centuries, from Roman sundials to the astronomers of Baghdad.

Your location stays on your phone

Sunrise, sunset and prayer times are worked out on your device, so where you are stays with you.

Plan around the sun

Summer hours run long and winter hours run short. Ghorubi moves your plans with them, so morning always means morning, whatever the season.

Give every task its hour. Your agenda is grouped by the sky: afterglow, dusk, darkness, past midnight.

Plans that move with the sun. Start a habit at Darkness, end it at Deep Night, and Ghorubi shows roughly when that lands today.

Make it yours. Give each habit an emoji and a colour so it's easy to spot.

Track what you keep

Check off habits as you go. Ghorubi keeps your streaks, marks every day you showed up and sums up your month.

Keep the streak going. Your current and best streak, with every check-in on the calendar.

See your month. Total check-ins, this month, your weekly average and your best month.

Prayers on your dial

Turn on prayer times and the five daily prayers take their place among your hours, calculated for where you are. Prayer reminders are free, always.

Fajr to Isha, in step with the sun. Each prayer anchors your hours, so you plan around it instead of squeezing it in.

Reminders you choose. Pick which prayers you want a reminder for.

And so much more

The small things that make Ghorubi feel like it was made for you.

Sun events on your dial. Add sunrise, sunset, golden hour, blue hour, solar noon and civil twilight to your dial.

Got questions?

The short answers. For anything else, reach us through the Contact link.

What is a sun hour?

Ghorubi divides the time between sunrise and sunset into twelve equal hours, and the night into twelve more. These are often called temporal hours. On a long summer day each daylight hour lasts more than sixty minutes; in winter, less.

Why does my day start at sunset?

In many traditions, including the Islamic calendar, a new day begins when the sun sets. Ghorubi follows that rhythm: the night hours come first, then the day hours from sunrise.

Can I still see normal clock times?

Yes. Every sun hour shows its clock time too, and you can switch between sun hours and clock hours whenever you like.

How does habit tracking work?

Tick a habit off when you've done it. Ghorubi keeps your current and best streak, marks each check-in on a calendar and shows your monthly totals.

What happens to my location?

Ghorubi uses it to work out sunrise, sunset and prayer times on your device. It stays on your phone.

How much does Ghorubi cost?

Ghorubi is free to download, with no ads, and prayer reminders are always free. Ghorubi Pro adds sync across devices, task reminders, sun alerts and custom repeats, with a monthly or yearly plan.

Which devices does it run on?

iPhone, iPad and Android phones, in Arabic and English.
